Receiver URL is not accepted

  • Use Paste Receiver SRT URL, not an audio guest-key field.
  • Copy the complete srt:// value including its query string.
  • Remove accidental leading or trailing whitespace.
  • Ask the sender whether access was rotated.
  • Ask the sender to start a fresh session if the URL expired.

Stuck on “Waiting for relay video”

  1. Confirm the sender selected Start sending.
  2. Confirm the sender’s upload metric is active.
  3. Confirm the receiver URL belongs to the current session.
  4. Check sender and receiver firewall reachability.
  5. Ask the sender to rotate the URL and reconnect.

Incoming Program is missing

  • Make the intended OBS scene active.
  • Select Start viewing.
  • Select + Add “Incoming Program” to scene when shown.
  • Check whether the source exists in another scene.
  • Confirm a user-created same-named source is not blocking managed-source reuse.

Incoming Program is black

  • Confirm the sender’s OBS Program is visible locally.
  • Confirm the sender is not in Studio Mode with an unintended Program side.
  • Watch the sender upload and receiver download metrics.
  • Hide and show the managed source once.
  • Reconnect with a fresh URL.
  • Save both OBS logs if transport is active but decoding remains black.

Video stalls or quality collapses

  • Reduce sender bitrate from 8 to 6 Mbps or from 6 to 3 Mbps.
  • Stop other large uploads and downloads.
  • Prefer wired Ethernet.
  • Select a healthier relay region.
  • Compare sustained dock throughput with the configured bitrate.

Audio is missing

Scene Share carries AAC audio inside the same stream.
  • Check the sender’s OBS Program audio before transmission.
  • Check the Incoming Program audio meter.
  • Confirm the source is not muted in the receiver’s scene.
  • Confirm the intended OBS program/recording track includes it.
  • Do not add a second audio-only reconstruction path.

Audio and video appear out of sync

Use the native Incoming Program source and test with a visible clap. Scene Share muxes video and audio together; rebuilding them through separate sources can introduce independent delay. If the one managed source is consistently out of sync:
  1. Record a short receiver sample.
  2. Note sender bitrate, relay region, and displayed delay.
  3. Restart the session with 6 Mbps or 3 Mbps.
  4. Save sender and receiver logs with synchronized timestamps.

Old URL stopped working

Rotation and new sessions replace receiver access. Ask the sender for the current private URL rather than retrying an old one.
