Create room is unavailable
Work through the Role / Room / Configure / Live rail in order:- On What are you doing today?, select Host a session and finish browser sign-in.
- Under Choose room mode, select Direct OBS Room, then Next.
- On Set up the room and your setlist, select a relay and Vocal source.
- Confirm the vocal meter responds.
- Select the target OBS scene and select Add Music Collab to scene.
The guest key does not advance to Configure
The Music guest path has two actions:- Select Join as a guest, then Continue as guest.
- On Connect with a guest key, enter the display name and complete Music Collab guest key, then select Continue.
- On Choose what the host receives, select an OBS audio source, verify its meters, and select Connect.
- Confirm it is a Music Collab key, not an ASMR Collab key or Scene Share credential.
- Paste the complete current key. Both the readable Karaoke key and the full legacy key are supported.
- Ask the host whether the room ended or Rotate guest key invalidated the previous key.
- Retry after checking that both computers can reach the hosted service.
A saved setlist is missing
Setlists are local to the host computer; they are not stored in the room or downloaded by the guest.- Open the dock menu and select Setlist folder to inspect the saved JSON files.
- From Set up the room and your setlist, select View all songs, open the menu, and select Open saved setlist.
- Finish any active room, connection, song preparation, sharing, or backing-load task before opening another saved setlist.
- If a local .opus or .ogg file moved, use the song’s Ready / retry action and choose the replacement in Relink backing track.
A YouTube song is labelled Audio only
Audio only is a supported fallback, not a failed backing track. The extracted audio prepares and synchronizes normally; vAudioLink Backing Video and Music View display the branded fallback because the video cannot be embedded. If a link is marked unavailable, it is not added to the setlist. If the availability check could not complete, go back and run Check songs again.Unsupported local file
Choose an Ogg Opus backing file with an .opus or .ogg extension. Other local formats are not accepted by the current decoder.A setlist song does not prepare
- Use Prepare all on the Configure page or Prepare remaining in the full setlist.
- For a failed row, open its menu and select Ready / retry.
- Keep OBS open while YouTube extraction or local-file preparation runs.
- Check free disk space and endpoint security if preparation repeatedly fails.
- Preserve the row status and OBS log for support.
Stuck on sharing, receiving, or waiting for both
Only the active song is sent to the partner.- Keep both peers in the live room.
- Confirm the participant card reports the peer connected.
- Keep the active song selected while its preparation and sharing finish.
- Wait for Ready on both before using Play.
- If the guest disconnected, reconnect first and allow sharing to resume or retry the active song.
Play is unavailable
The host Play control requires:- A live, joined room.
- An active prepared song.
- The managed scene sources.
- No preparation or sharing task still running for that song.
- The partner ready when a partner is connected.
Backing track is doubled
The combined program output and another backing path are both reaching the program.- Keep vAudioLink Output in the host’s stream mix.
- Leave vAudioLink Backing (monitor) as the monitor-only source.
- Check Desktop Audio, application capture, and browser capture for another copy.
- Record with each possible path enabled separately.
Vocals do not align with the backing
- Confirm neither participant started a separate local player.
- Let the host use the shared Play, Pause, and Restart controls.
- Check that both sides reported the backing ready before Play.
- Verify the selected vocal source is direct and not delayed by another monitoring application.
- Preserve diagnostics and a short local recording for support.
Managed sources cannot be added or removed cleanly
The dock deliberately avoids taking ownership of same-named user sources.- Rename or move the user-created conflicting source.
- On Configure, select Add Music Collab to scene again.
- During Live, use Add missing scene sources to repair the managed group.
- Use Remove scene sources only for the plugin-owned group.
- A guest normally has vAudioLink Backing (monitor) and vAudioLink Backing Video but no vAudioLink Output; the combined output belongs to the host.
