Direct room

Direct is the private guest-key path for ASMR Collab and Music Collab.
  1. The signed-in host creates a room.
  2. The host privately shares the expiring guest key.
  3. The accountless guest pastes the key in the matching product dock.
  4. Both peers manage media from their vAudioLink docks in OBS.
Use Direct for one-off audio sessions and guests who are not in your Discord server.

Hosted Scene Share Stage

Scene Share uses a Stage rather than a two-person Direct room:
  1. The signed-in host creates a named Stage and privately shares its Stage-... code.
  2. Accountless guests join backstage, identify the Program they may send, and become Ready.
  3. The host can review an explicitly shared preview still and selects one Ready guest.
  4. Only the selected guest receives media credentials and starts the full H.264 + AAC Program feed.
  5. Taking a guest off stage stops that feed before another guest is selected.

Follow Discord

The public Discord app setup currently creates ASMR Collab bindings when the feature is enabled for the account and community. The Music Collab dock contains a Follow Discord mode, but public slash commands do not create Music bindings yet. Discord voice presence selects the managed collaboration room. Discord carries presence and talkback. vAudioLink carries production audio.
Scene Share does not use Follow Discord. It is a one-way whole-program video workflow, not a live audio call.
Sending does not start merely because you join a Discord voice channel. The dock requires the relevant opt-in before it begins sending.

Link the account, join the bound voice channel, opt in, and verify room changes.

Self-hosted

Open the product dock’s overflow menu and select Start Self-Hosting. ASMR Collab 1.0.0 provides the complete current two-dock flow and generates a guest key. Scene Share can start a direct server and sender, but the current Scene Share 1.0.1 guest route accepts only a Stage code. Its Receiver SRT URL requires an older direct-compatible receiver or another explicitly compatible consumer. Music Collab 0.1.18 has no local-relay dock option. Avoid duplicate routing

If Discord audio and vAudioLink audio both enter the OBS stream mix, the audience may hear the same person twice or hear delayed echo.
  • Decide whether Discord is talkback-only or part of the program mix.
  • Keep incoming vAudioLink sources on Monitor Off by default.
  • Check OBS Advanced Audio Properties before going live.

Troubleshoot echo or routing

Work from the incoming source toward the OBS program mix.
