Dock is missing

1

Confirm product and OBS compatibility

Verify Windows 11, 64-bit OBS Studio 30 or 31, and the correct product installer.
2

Close every OBS process

Exit OBS. In Task Manager, confirm obs64.exe is not running.
3

Run the promoted installer again

Download from the vAudioLink Downloads page, then reinstall to the OBS installation you actually launch.
4

Open the Docks menu

Restart OBS and inspect Docks for the product’s documented name in the dock reference.
5

Inspect the OBS log

Open Help → Log Files → View Current Log and search for vAudioLink, asmr, karaoke, or scene.

OBS uses a non-standard installation

The installer detects common OBS locations. If OBS is portable, installed per-user, or located on another drive, verify the installer targeted that exact installation. Do not copy files into several OBS plugin directories at random. Multiple plugin copies can load the wrong version.

Dock exists but opens an old version

  1. End the session and close OBS.
  2. Confirm no OBS process remains.
  3. Re-run the current promoted installer.
  4. Check for multiple OBS installations.
  5. Restart OBS and inspect the log for the loaded plugin path.

OBS reports a missing module or dependency

  • Re-run the complete installer rather than copying only the plugin DLL.
  • Confirm endpoint security did not quarantine a bundled runtime file.
  • Do not download replacement DLLs from third-party DLL sites.
  • Include the exact OBS log message in a support request.

OBS crashes while loading

  1. Preserve the current and previous OBS logs.
  2. Record the product installer version and OBS version.
  3. Avoid repeatedly reopening a production profile.
  4. Contact support with redacted logs and the approximate crash time.
