Connected but the send meter is silent
The problem is before the relay.- Select the intended microphone or vocal source in the dock.
- Confirm that source exists in OBS.
- Confirm it is not muted.
- Speak and watch its OBS meter.
- Select Refresh if the source was created after the dock opened.
- Confirm another application has not taken exclusive control of the device.
Send meter moves but the host receives nothing
- Confirm both docks still show the same live room.
- Confirm the guest key was accepted rather than only pasted.
- Check receiver or participant status.
- End and recreate the room if transport state is stale.
- Test on another trusted network if a firewall may block the relay.
Incoming meter moves but the audience hears nothing
The network path works; inspect OBS:- Confirm the incoming or combined source is in the current scene.
- Confirm the source is not muted.
- Confirm the correct audio track is selected for the stream or recording.
- Confirm the source fader is not at zero.
- Make a local recording to distinguish monitoring from program output.
Unexpected echo or delayed self-voice
Echo means the same audio has more than one path.- Keep incoming vAudioLink sources on Monitor Off.
- Check whether Discord or another call application is also captured.
- Use headphones.
- In Music Collab, keep the backing monitor out of the program mix.
- In Scene Share, do not add the received audio separately.
Feedback or loud howl
Immediately mute the incoming path or lower the physical monitor output. Then break the speaker-to-microphone or monitor-to-send loop. Do not continue by merely reducing gain.ASMR arrives in mono
- Confirm the physical microphone is configured as stereo.
- Confirm the selected OBS source preserves two channels.
- Confirm the dock’s stereo option or quality mode does not intentionally downmix.
- Record the source locally before the network path.
- Compare local left/right meters with the host’s incoming meters.
Left and right are reversed
- Test the microphone locally.
- Run a clear physical left then right test.
- Use Send L/R test where available.
- Check whether an OBS filter, interface mixer, or cable adapter swaps channels.
- Correct the earliest incorrect stage rather than swapping the final program as a workaround.
Audio drops out or sounds unstable
- Prefer wired Ethernet.
- Stop large uploads and downloads.
- Disable route-changing VPN behavior during the session.
- Select a closer healthy relay.
- Reduce the configured quality or bitrate one step and retest.
- Preserve the OBS log and exact time of a dropout.
Quality and network reference
Choose a setting with enough sustained network headroom.
