# Join an ASMR Collab room

> Use a guest key to send a stereo or binaural OBS source without creating an account.

The guest sends microphone audio to the host. You do not need a vAudioLink account.

## Before you start

* Install **vAudioLink ASMR**.
* Ask the host for a current ASMR Collab guest key.
* Add your stereo or binaural microphone to OBS and verify its meter locally.
* Use headphones to prevent the host's program or talkback from re-entering your microphone.

  <Step title="Open the matching dock">
    In OBS, select **Docks → vAudioLink OBS ASMR Panel**.

    Both participants must use ASMR Collab. A Music Collab key or Scene Share URL will not work here.

  <Step title="Select Join as a guest">
    On **What are you doing today?**, select **Join as a guest**.

    The dock displays **Connect with a guest key**.

  <Step title="Enter your display name">
    In **Your display name**, enter the name the host should see. Avoid private information you do not want shown in the dock.

  <Step title="Paste the complete key">
    Paste the guest key exactly as the host sent it. Do not remove its prefix, room information, token, or punctuation.

    Select **Connect**.

    **Expected result:** the dock resolves the relay from the key and enters the live guest view.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select the microphone source">
    Select the OBS source that contains the audio you intend to send. For a binaural microphone, preserve its stereo channel layout.

    Speak normally and confirm the local send meter moves.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Wait for the host confirmation">
    Tell the host when your dock reports connected. The host should see your participant card and add your audio to the target scene.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Run the stereo test">
    Make a sound on the physical left side of the microphone, then the right. Ask the host to confirm both sides arrive in the same orientation.

<Warning>
  Do not show or read the guest key on stream. If it is exposed, disconnect and ask the host to create or rotate the key.
</Warning>

## If you connect but the host hears nothing

1. Confirm the selected OBS source meter moves locally.
2. Confirm the source is not muted.
3. Confirm the dock still shows a live connection.
4. Ask the host whether the incoming source meter moves.

## Leave safely

Select **End session** or leave the room from the dock. The host controls whether the plugin-managed incoming source remains in their OBS scene.
